Taipa

1: In the olden days the naming of Taipa was again attributed to the chief Kauri. He announced that because of the beaches and the waters of the harbor were so full of fish and shellfish that only one needed to put a hand in the waters to touch some kind of seafood.

The Maori word for seawater is Tai

The Maori word for touch is pa

2:Many years ago there was a huge tidal wave that washed right over the village. After the confusion and the anxiety died down the survivors called the place Taipa.

Tai-meaning tide.

Pa-meaning village.

3: In the olden days the place known Taipa constantly being fought over because of its thick bush, it's beaches were filled with shellfish and its rich harbors Kauri is one of the two chiefs within the area.

The two chiefs were on the best of terms until they disagreed about the shellfish in the tidal river.

The two chiefs had many battles until they decided to make a truce.  They both shared Taipa but the punishment for crossing is DEATH.

This is how Taipa got its name.

Hello everyone In term one we had to do art based on a famous artist called Picasso and we had to do art just like him so It took us a few weeks to do this Is my art. I had fun doing this even though I had a few mistakes I still had lots of fun doing this. thanks for reading my blog bye👍.

My word art.

So our class has been doing word art for a week or two so our whole class has made they're own so this was my one.

My word art is based on a Rubix cube it has all the things that make me happy such as.
playing Roblox, being helpful, seeing a smile, doing my fav art, being happy, caring about others,
eating cake, being with my friends, and playing Minecraft.

The thing I liked about doing this is that it was fun and I got to show my artistic skills that I can do and it was really fun I got to get better at art.
